⚠️ Trigger Warning: This article includes mentions of rpe, abuse, and self-harm.*
The India’s Got Latent controversy is still ongoing, and people like Apoorva Mukhija, Samay Raina, and Ranveer Allahbadia are facing backlash because of their comments on the show. In the middle of all this, Apoorva has now left her Mumbai apartment.
Apoorva had gone silent on social media after the controversy broke out. She even unfollowed everyone and deleted all her Instagram posts. Later, she returned online and shared screenshots of disturbing messages, including r*pe threats, acid attack threats, and death threats she received.

Recently, Apoorva posted (and later deleted) a short video on her Instagram story from inside her Mumbai home. In the clip, she was seen in a white dress, standing alone in an almost empty room. There were cardboard boxes and cleaning items scattered around. She turned off the lights before leaving the room, with the caption:
“End of an era.”
This clearly showed that she was moving out.

Later, she posted another story showing her current emotional state. She shared an old picture of herself posing during a sunset, looking sad. Dressed in a yellow crochet outfit, she made a peace sign in the picture. With this, she wrote:
“Life lately,”
suggesting she is still struggling with everything happening around her.
Here’s a glimpse of her story –
On April 9, 2025, Apoorva uploaded a video on her YouTube channel where she finally opened up about the India’s Got Latent issue. In the video, she spoke about how the controversy affected her mental and physical health. She shared that she experienced sleep paralysis, emotional breakdowns, and even harmed herself, saying,

“I still have scars.”
Apoorva also apologized in the video:
“I’m really sorry. I should have been more careful with my words. I’ve learned from this, and I promise to do better.”
Recently, Apoorva, along with Samay Raina, Ashish Chanchlani, and Ranveer Allahbadia, was summoned by the Maharashtra Cyber Cell for questioning. While Samay and Ashish appeared, Apoorva and Ranveer reportedly didn’t respond. Because of this, the police might take further legal action.
Note: If you or someone you know is facing abuse, please speak up and reach out. There are many helplines and organizations that are ready to help. You’re not alone.
