EXCLUSIVE VIDEO: Why Nikki Tamboli Was Rushed to the ICU – The Celebrity MasterChef Star Says “It Was an Emergency”

Nikki Tamboli, a well-known TV actress and Celebrity MasterChef contestant, recently spoke to Pinkvilla in an exclusive interview. She revealed that just days after Celebrity MasterChef ended, she was rushed to the ICU following a medical emergency during a dinner outing.

Nikki shared that the incident happened four days before the interview. She had gone out for dinner with her friends at a restaurant in Santacruz. She was wearing a red backless dress and had no idea something serious was about to happen.

She said, “I didn’t know I was allergic to shellfish like prawns, crabs, and lobsters. I ate four prawns, and then I had a severe allergic reaction. My lungs started swelling, my eyes and face got swollen, my whole body started itching. My face became big, and my internal organs were also swelling and sticking together. I couldn’t breathe. It was a complete emergency.”

Nikki added that she was taken to the hospital in a wheelchair, and the doctor immediately said she needed to be admitted to the ICU. ICU has emergency medicines that can help in life-threatening situations.

She spent two days in the ICU, where she was given strong medication and injections. Nikki, who became famous after appearing in Bigg Boss 14, said the situation was very scary.

She also advised her fans to get allergy tests done. Nikki mentioned that she had no idea she was allergic and that the reaction came as a shock. At the time, she was with her stylist and makeup artist. Her family wasn’t around, and even her friend Arbaz Patel wasn’t there.

“My face was completely swollen and looked huge. I was shocked,” Nikki said. She also mentioned that she didn’t share anything on Instagram that night because it was such a serious and unexpected moment.

On the work front, Nikki Tamboli was last seen in Celebrity MasterChef.
