After the video spread, Babil deactivated his Instagram account. But later, his family released a statement explaining that people misunderstood the video. Now, Babil has returned to Instagram and shared his side of the story.

📱 On May 4, 2025, Babil reactivated his Instagram account and spoke up for the first time since the viral video. In his Instagram Story, he re-shared a supportive post by actress Kubbra Sait. With the song Art of Silence playing in the background, he wrote:

“Thank you so much. The video was extremely misinterpreted. I was trying to show support to @ananyapanday, @shanayakapoor02, @gouravadarsh, @arjunkapoor, @raghavjuyal, @arijitsingh.”

He added:

“I don’t have the energy to talk more about it, but I feel it’s my responsibility to stand by the artists I truly admire.”

Earlier, Babil’s family had shared a statement saying that the video was “taken out of context.” They explained that he mentioned those Bollywood names because he deeply respects them and believes they are helping shape the future of Indian cinema.

🎬 On the work front, Babil was last seen in Logout, a cyber-thriller film on Zee5. The movie was directed by Amit Golani and also starred Rasika Dugal, Gandharv Dewan, and Nimisha Nair.
