Singer Pawandeep Rajan, who won Indian Idol 12, was badly injured in a serious car accident on Monday, May 5. The news of the accident quickly spread online, and now a new report gives updates on how it happened and how Pawandeep is doing.

Where and How Did the Accident Happen?

At first, people thought the accident took place in Ahmedabad. But new reports say it actually happened in Amroha, Uttar Pradesh.

Pawandeep (28), who is from Champawat, Uttarakhand, was traveling to Noida with his friend Ajay Mehra and their driver Rahul Singh. They were in an MG Hector SUV.

According to police, the driver, Rahul Singh, fell asleep while driving. As a result, the car lost control and crashed into the back of an Eicher Canter truck. The accident was serious, and all three—Pawandeep, Ajay, and Rahul—got badly hurt.

What Happened After the Crash?

People nearby rushed to help, and the police arrived quickly. The injured were first taken to a government hospital for emergency treatment. Because their condition was serious, they were later moved to a private hospital’s ICU. Pawandeep’s family arranged for him to be transferred to Fortis Hospital in Noida for better care.

How is Pawandeep Rajan Now?

Pawandeep suffered fractures in both legs and also had a head injury. He is currently being treated at Fortis Hospital in Noida under the supervision of the orthopaedic team. According to the report, he is stable, conscious, and will have to undergo multiple surgeries as part of his recovery.

What Are Authorities Saying?

The police are still investigating the case. The damaged vehicles have been taken into custody, and further action will be taken once an official complaint is filed. Gajraula Police Station officer Akhilesh Pradhan and Deputy SP Shwetabh Bhaskar confirmed these details.

Pawandeep became popular after winning Indian Idol 12 and has since released several music albums. Fans are praying for his speedy recovery.
