Pawandeep Rajan’s Health Update: Here’s What Happened in the Accident That Left the Indian Idol 12 Winner Seriously Injured

Popular singer and Indian Idol 12 winner Pawandeep Rajan met with a serious accident on Monday, May 5. The incident left him with multiple injuries, and he was immediately taken to the hospital for treatment.

At first, some reports said the accident happened in Ahmedabad, but it has now been confirmed that it took place in Amroha, Uttar Pradesh. Here’s everything we know so far about what happened and how Pawandeep is doing.

How Did the Accident Happen?

According to a report by Hindustan Times, 28-year-old Pawandeep was traveling from his hometown in Champawat, Uttarakhand to Noida for a program. He was accompanied by his friend Ajay Mehra and their driver Rahul Singh. They were in an MG Hector car.

During the drive, the driver Rahul reportedly fell asleep at the wheel. As a result, the car lost control and crashed into the back of a truck. The accident was severe, and a large crowd gathered at the scene. Police quickly arrived to help.

All three—Pawandeep, Ajay, and Rahul—were badly hurt. Pawandeep suffered fractures in both legs and a head injury. They were first taken to a government hospital but were later shifted to a private hospital ICU due to the seriousness of their condition. Eventually, Pawandeep’s family arranged for him to be moved to Fortis Hospital in Noida for better treatment.

Investigation and Current Situation

The local police, including Gajraula station officer Akhilesh Pradhan, confirmed that an investigation is ongoing. Deputy Superintendent of Police Shwetabh Bhaskar said that both damaged vehicles have been seized. Further action will be taken once a written complaint is received.

Health Update

Pawandeep is currently being treated at Fortis Hospital, Noida. He is under the care of the orthopaedics team. Reports say that he has suffered fractures in his legs but is stable and conscious. Doctors have planned multiple surgeries as part of his treatment.
