Justin Baldoni’s Wayfarer Foundation is shutting down amid his ongoing legal battle with Blake Lively. The foundation’s founder, Steve Sarowitz, shared the news on Instagram.

The exact reason for closing the foundation wasn’t mentioned, but Sarowitz expressed his deep appreciation for everyone who supported the organization. He thanked the board of directors and team members who had been part of the foundation since it started.

In his statement, Sarowitz said, “Over the past four years, Wayfarer Foundation has supported many partners in fulfilling their missions.” He also added, “I’m so proud of the impact this organization has made and very grateful to our staff, board, donors, and partners.”

Although the foundation is closing, Sarowitz mentioned that he will continue helping others personally. He said, “After a unanimous decision from the board, we will begin the process of shutting down the Foundation. We will honor all our current grants as we slowly close operations over the next few weeks.”

He continued, “Even though the Wayfarer Foundation is closing, my personal commitment to giving back remains strong, and I will keep working to make a positive impact on society.”

The Wayfarer Foundation was started by Sarowitz and Baldoni in 2021. It focused on issues like economic growth, gender equality, religious harmony, and youth empowerment.

Although no official reason has been given for the closure, some people are speculating that Baldoni’s legal case against Blake Lively could be connected. Baldoni has filed a lawsuit against Lively, accusing her of extortion and defamation.
