EXCLUSIVE: Aashiqui Actress Anu Aggarwal Joins Fan Club of Animal and RRR — Here’s What She Thinks About the Films
In an exclusive chat with Pinkvilla, actress Anu Aggarwal revealed that she really enjoyed watching Animal and RRR. The Aashiqui star is clearly a fan of these popular movies.
Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Animal and SS Rajamouli’s RRR are two of the biggest Indian films in recent years. Animal was released in 2023, while RRR came out in 2022. Both films still have a huge fan following, and now Anu Aggarwal has also joined their fan club.
When asked about recent films or shows that impressed her, Anu said,
“One of the first films that really impressed me was RRR. I was blown away by it. I watched the whole movie and really enjoyed it.”
She also praised Ranbir Kapoor’s film Animal, saying that she liked that movie too.
Anu added,
“These days, different kinds of films are being made. People are thinking differently. If filmmakers understand what the audience wants quickly, it will help everyone in the industry.”
Anu Aggarwal, who stayed away from films for many years, shared how she feels about the industry now.
“I’m very thankful. I got to play dream roles in my career. I want to tell people that I didn’t leave the film industry because of negativity or disappointment. I left because I had already achieved what I wanted and wanted to focus on my personal growth.”
She also shared her thoughts on how global filmmaking has changed. According to her, South Indian films have grown a lot, and now audiences don’t just watch a film because of a big star — they want good stories.
“It makes me feel like I want to do something again,” she added.
Anu Aggarwal became a star after her debut in the 1990 hit film Aashiqui. She later appeared in movies like King Uncle, Janam Kundli, and more. Her last film was Return of the Jewel Thief, released in 1996.
