Aasif Sheikh Shares Health Update After Collapsing on ‘Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain’ Set
Actor Aasif Sheikh, known for playing Vibhuti Narayan Mishra in Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain, was recently rushed to the hospital after collapsing on set. The incident happened while filming an action scene in Dehradun. Now, Aasif has opened up about his health condition and what led to this sudden episode.
In an interview with ETimes TV, Aasif revealed that he has been suffering from a slipped disc, which caused severe spasms and intense sciatica pain. He explained that the pain became unbearable, making it difficult for him to walk.
Talking about the incident, Aasif said that the shooting schedule was hectic, and during a break in the evening, he told his team that he was going to his vanity van to rest. However, while walking, he suddenly felt a strong spasm and couldn’t move. “I simply couldn’t stand or walk,” he shared.
Even though he took painkillers, they didn’t work. The next day, with help from the crew, he managed to shoot a scene where he had to lie down in a car. His director was understanding and ensured that his part was completed quickly.
After the shoot, Aasif was taken back to his hotel in a wheelchair, which he found embarrassing. On March 18, he was flown to Mumbai in a wheelchair as his condition worsened.
Updating fans on his health, Aasif said, “I’m taking injections every alternate day, but the pain will remain until the swelling goes down. My doctor has advised complete bed rest, and I’m going for an MRI today.” He also mentioned that his family was very worried, but he hopes to recover soon and return to work.
Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain also stars Rohitashv Gour, Shubhangi Atre, and Vidisha Srivastava in key roles.
We wish Aasif Sheikh a speedy recovery!
