Aasif Sheikh Remembers Manoj Santoshi and Praises Shilpa Shinde for Her Support
The popular sitcom Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain has been making headlines for a heartbreaking reason. On March 25, the show’s writer Manoj Santoshi passed away due to a liver ailment, leaving his colleagues and fans deeply saddened.
In a recent interview, Aasif Sheikh, who plays Vibhuti Narayan Mishra, opened up about his friendship with Manoj Santoshi and expressed his grief. He also praised Shilpa Shinde, the former lead actress of the show, for taking care of Manoj during his illness.
Aasif Sheikh on His Last Conversation with Shilpa Shinde
During an interview with ETimes TV, Aasif shared that Shilpa was devastated by Manoj’s passing.
He said, “More than me, Shilpa Shinde is in deep shock. She was with Manoj throughout his fight with his illness. When she called me to tell me about his passing, she was crying uncontrollably. She was all alone with Manoj, and I have a deep respect for her.”
Aasif further praised Shilpa’s kindness and dedication, saying, “In today’s time, not many people take care of others the way Shilpa did for Manoj. She stood by him like family.”
Aasif Sheikh’s Bond with Manoj Santoshi
Aasif Sheikh also remembered his long friendship with Manoj and spoke about his talent.
“My bond with Manoj Santoshi goes back several years. He was not just a great writer but also an amazing singer. Many people don’t know this about him.”
He also revealed that Manoj had written the character of Vibhuti Narayan Mishra with him in mind, which made their bond even more special.
Manoj Santoshi’s Health Struggles
Talking about Manoj’s health, Aasif said that he had been struggling for the past six months.
“When I went to meet him in Hyderabad, I saw that he had lost a lot of weight. That’s when I realized something was really wrong. His passing has left a huge void in my life.”
Aasif Sheikh’s Own Health Condition
For those who don’t know, Aasif Sheikh is currently on bed rest after he collapsed on the sets of Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain. He is now recovering but is deeply affected by Manoj Santoshi’s passing.
