Actor Yogesh Mahajan Passes Away Due to Cardiac Arrest
Television actor Yogesh Mahajan, who played Shukracharya in the mythological show Shiv Shakti – Tap Tyag Tandav, tragically passed away due to cardiac arrest on January 19. He was found unconscious in his flat in Umergaon after failing to show up on set for filming. Concerned crew members entered his flat and discovered him unresponsive.
Mahajan was rushed to the hospital but could not be saved. He was declared dead upon arrival. His last rites were performed today, with family and friends gathering to pay their respects.
The actor’s family released an official statement, saying, “It is with deep sadness that we share the sudden and untimely passing of our beloved Yogesh Mahajan. He left us on January 19, 2025, due to cardiac arrest. This devastating loss has shocked his family, friends, and well-wishers.”
Actress Suzanne Bernert, Mahajan’s co-star, expressed her grief in an interview. She remembered him as a kind and talented person who brought positivity to the set. “I’m still in shock, sitting here in Hyderabad, hearing this news,” said Bernert, who is also known for her role in Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai.
Yogesh Mahajan had a rich career in television and films. He showcased his acting talent in shows like Adaalat, Jai Shri Krishna, Chakravartin Ashoka Samrat, and Devon Ke Dev Mahadev. He was also known for his performances in Marathi films like Mumbaiche Shahane and Samsarachi Maya.
For those unaware, Yogesh Mahajan is survived by his seven-year-old son. His sudden passing has left the television industry and his fans in shock.
