Aditi Sharma Speaks Out on Her Secret Marriage to Abhineet Kaushik
Actress Aditi Sharma, known for her roles in Apollena and Rabb Se Hai Dua, has finally broken her silence about her controversial marriage to Abhineet Kaushik. Their secret wedding and divorce have been making headlines, with Abhineet accusing Aditi of cheating on him. Now, Aditi is sharing her side of the story.
“It Was a Private Marriage, Not a Secret”
In an interview with India Forums, Aditi clarified that her marriage was private but not a secret. She said, “My family, friends, and relatives knew about it. I never called it a ‘mock marriage.’ I loved him deeply and didn’t want to lose him, so I agreed to marry him.” However, they chose to keep it private because of Aditi’s acting career. She was playing an 18-year-old character in Apollena and didn’t want the news to affect her work.
Why Did Aditi Agree to Marry?
Aditi revealed that Abhineet’s family pressured them to get married. “His parents, who are elderly, kept asking about our wedding. He also had other proposals, and I was scared of losing him. When he proposed to me in Romania during Khatron Ke Khiladi, I said yes.”
However, their relationship had always been rocky. They had many fights and even thought about breaking up before marriage. But Aditi believed marriage would improve things. She said, “I thought we would grow together as a couple. But within a month, serious problems started. There was misbehavior and other issues I can’t talk about due to legal reasons.”
Aditi Accuses Abhineet of Mistreating Her and Her Family
Aditi claimed that Abhineet disrespected her and her family. When their families met to discuss the separation, her family supported her after hearing everything. According to Aditi, this wasn’t the first time Abhineet had insulted her—he had humiliated her in front of friends many times before.
Responding to claims that she disrespected Abhineet’s family, Aditi said, “I have never disrespected them. Can you imagine the person you love making such accusations against you?” She also admitted that she couldn’t even watch Abhineet’s interviews because she knew he was lying about many things.
Allegations of Domestic Abuse and Threats
When asked about domestic abuse allegations, Aditi said, “I can’t speak about this because of legal advice, but I can say it was not from my side. My lawyers have proof, and they will present it in court.”
She also made a shocking claim that she had to leave her home because of threats. “Some people from the underworld are involved, connected to him and his best friend. I have also received threats from Abhineet. He warned me that if I left him, he would ruin my reputation—and that’s exactly what he’s doing.”
Aditi questioned why she should be forced to stay in a toxic marriage just because society doesn’t accept divorce. She asked, “Should I suffer my entire life? Why should I wait 10 or 20 years to speak about my pain?”
Aditi Denies Cheating Allegations
Abhineet accused Aditi of cheating on him with her Apollena co-star Samarthya Gupta. However, Aditi denied this. She said, “He accused me of cheating almost every day. If I talked to a man at a party, replied to a message, or even used a heart emoji, it became an issue. Even our counselor said it was Abhineet’s insecurity.”
Abhineet Tracked Aditi’s Movements?
Aditi also revealed that Abhineet tracked her movements. She said her car didn’t have a built-in tracker, but he secretly placed two AirTags in it. Although they were later found, she believed he had already unlinked them to avoid being caught.
“I Just Want Peace”
The Apollena actress ended by asking for understanding and kindness from the public. “This was supposed to be private, but now it’s out in the open. I just want peace of mind. I hope people can be kind and look at this situation with an open heart.”
