In Kaun Banega Crorepati 16, Amitabh Bachchan shared a funny story about his grandson, Agastya Nanda, with Vidya Balan and Kartik Aaryan. During one of the show’s segments, Big B recalled how Agastya managed to get free food for two years while living in New York by telling people he was Amitabh Bachchan’s grandson.
Amitabh explained that while Agastya was studying in New York, he met an Indian person who had named a dish “Amitabh Bachchan.” Agastya, being clever, went to the restaurant and asked about the dish. After eating, he casually mentioned that Amitabh Bachchan was his grandfather.
At first, the person didn’t believe him, so Agastya showed a photo as proof. From that moment, he kept getting free food for two years. Amitabh joked, “That’s how smart Agastya is!”
Agastya is the son of Amitabh’s daughter, Shweta Bachchan, and he made his acting debut in Zoya Akhtar’s musical film The Archies.
Kaun Banega Crorepati 16 started airing in August and continues with new episodes from Monday to Friday on Sony TV.
