It seems Amitabh Bachchan loves Kaun Banega Crorepati (KBC) as much as he loves his wife, Jaya Bachchan. In a recent episode, contestant Sumitra Dinesh Kapade asked Big B if Jaya ever complains about him not having time for her due to his continuous shooting for KBC.
Amitabh burst into laughter and replied, “What can I say? These family-related questions make it hard for me to answer.” He then recalled the early days of his career when he used to work in three shifts for different films.
Big B reminisced, “Many years passed, and I entered the film industry. I started working in three shifts. The first shift was from 7 AM to 2 PM for one film. The second shift was from 2 PM to 10 PM for another film.” He continued, sharing how his third shift would start at 10 PM and go until 6 AM, after which he had to return for the first shift at 7 AM.
Amitabh also mentioned a touching moment with his father, Harivansh Rai Bachchan. He shared, “Once I came home, and my father opened the door. He said, ‘Son, you work a lot.’ I replied, ‘Dad, it’s not easy to earn money.'”
In the end, Amitabh revealed that Jaya doesn’t complain about his busy schedule. This glimpse into his hardworking past shows why he’s so successful, both in his career and in his long-lasting marriage to Jaya Bachchan, which has spanned over four decades.
