Kavita Kaushik, known for her iconic role as Inspector Chandramukhi Chautala in FIR, recently shared her thoughts after watching the epic sci-fi film Kalki 2898 AD. The actress, who has stepped away from the television industry due to its regressive content, couldn’t help but shower praise on Amitabh Bachchan for his outstanding performance in the movie.
Taking to social media platform X (formerly known as Twitter), Kavita expressed her admiration for Amitabh Bachchan, calling him “God” for his incredible acting skills. She was particularly amazed by how he delivered such a powerful performance at his age. Her post read, “I saw Kalki… @SrBachchan sahab bhagwaan hai… insaan nahi kar sakte aisi performance…. especially at this age (Amitabh Bachchan is God…. humans cannot deliver such a performance…. especially at his age).”
In Kalki 2898 AD, Amitabh Bachchan plays the role of Ashwatthama, a character tasked with protecting Deepika Padukone’s character, Sumathi, who is believed to be carrying the incarnation of Lord Vishnu, God Kalki. Directed by Nag Ashwin, the movie also features stars like Prabhas, Kamal Haasan, and Disha Patani. The film was released in theaters on June 27, 2024, and is now available for streaming on Netflix and Prime Video.
Kavita Kaushik, who has been vocal about her disappointment with current television content, describes it as harmful and regressive, especially for the younger generation. She fondly recalls a time when TV offered more progressive and diverse entertainment. Despite stepping away from television, she remains active on social media and continues to voice her opinions on societal issues.
