Kaun Banega Crorepati 16: Amitabh Bachchan Remembers Meeting Michael Jackson
On the popular show Kaun Banega Crorepati Season 16, hosted by Amitabh Bachchan, the legendary actor shared a special story about his meeting with the famous singer Michael Jackson.
During the episode, Padma Shree awardees, Dr. Abhay and Dr. Rani Bang, were guests on the show. In a casual conversation, Amitabh Bachchan asked Dr. Rani Bang who her favorite singer was. She mentioned that she admired Michael Jackson and had heard that Amitabh had met him. She then asked him to share that experience.
Amitabh Bachchan recounted a surprising moment when he was staying at a hotel in New York. One day, he heard a knock on his door. When he opened it, he was shocked to see Michael Jackson standing outside. “I opened the door and couldn’t believe it—Michael Jackson was right there!” Big B said.
Though he was taken aback, Amitabh managed to stay calm. Jackson had mistakenly knocked on the wrong door. Later, Jackson’s team reached out to Amitabh, and they both met and had a conversation. Amitabh described Michael Jackson as a very humble person, despite being such a huge global star.
Amitabh Bachchan also shared another story about attending one of Michael Jackson’s performances in America. The trip to the venue was tough, and when they arrived at the hotel, they found out that all 350 rooms were booked just for Jackson and his team. After some effort, they got seats at the back of the stadium and watched Jackson’s incredible performance.
Big B praised Jackson’s talent, saying, “He was an amazing artist. His singing and dancing were out of this world. The whole arena was full of energy, and the crowd’s applause made it a magical experience.”
