The latest episode of Shark Tank India 4 brought some unexpected drama between Sharks Anupam Mittal and Ritesh Agarwal. Their playful digs at each other left viewers and fellow Sharks stunned.
A Heated Exchange During a Unique Pitch
The drama began when Sahil and Arunima, a husband-wife duo, pitched their business Sneakinn, a company that repairs and refurbishes luxury shoes and bags. They were seeking ₹90 lakh for a 3% stake, valuing their company at ₹30 crore. The couple explained how they identified a market gap for repairing expensive goods and shared their success story—growing their revenue to ₹7 crore in just four years. They also expressed plans to expand to more cities.
Ritesh Agarwal suggested a centralized model for their business, comparing it to diagnostic labs, which he said could help improve margins. However, Anupam Mittal took a lighthearted jab, saying, “Aap bimaar jooton ki laboratory banayenge.” Ritesh fired back with a witty remark, “Humare yahan vriddhawaste aur bimaar ke aaspaas ke sharks hain, unko bhi saath leke chalenge,” which made everyone, including Vineeta Singh and Namita Thapar, laugh.
Anupam’s Bold Comeback
But the banter didn’t stop there. Anupam responded to Ritesh’s remark with a bold comment: “Chalo, aap yeh toh samajh gaye aapka baap kaun hai.” This unexpected line shocked both the Sharks and the audience, adding tension to the episode.
Sharks Compete with Offers
Despite the heated exchange, the Sharks were eager to invest in Sneakinn. Ritesh made an offer of ₹45 lakh for 5% equity and ₹45 lakh as debt at 10%. Meanwhile, Vineeta and Anupam teamed up, offering ₹90 lakh for 10% equity but added a controversial 1% royalty.
This royalty clause sparked a debate, as Anupam has criticized royalty deals in the past. Kunal Bahl and Namita Thapar called him out for his double standards. Namita even advised the founders to reject the royalty offer.
Anupam eventually agreed to drop the royalty condition but asked for 6.5% equity instead. As the couple leaned toward Anupam’s offer, Ritesh decided to withdraw his deal. In the end, Sahil and Arunima accepted Vineeta and Anupam’s revised offer, securing ₹90 lakh for 6.5% equity.
