Aurra Bhatnagar, who plays Aadhya in the popular TV show Anupamaa, might be leaving the show soon. The reason is reportedly because of the romantic storyline planned for her 14-year-old character, which she’s uncomfortable with.
A report by TellyChakkar mentions that Aurra’s mother, Deepti, shared they haven’t been formally told about this upcoming leap in the story. There are also rumors that Rupali Ganguly’s character might betray others at Asha Bhavan in future episodes.
In a past interview, Aurra’s mom expressed concern about her daughter’s age and the idea of showing a mature love story, saying that while it’s okay to show simple crushes at this age, a serious love story isn’t appropriate.
The show will soon introduce a flashback scene where Anupamaa will be called a cheater, as she’s seen leaving those she promised to protect. This might mark a big turning point in the show’s storyline.
