According to a report by Latestly on January 4, 2025, the rumors about Rupali Ganguly exiting Anupamaa are completely false. The publicist of Rajan Shahi’s production house, Directors Kut Production, confirmed that there’s no truth to these claims. They called the reports “false and baseless.”
Earlier, Times Now had reported on January 3 that Rupali might be quitting the show. However, it has now been clarified that she is not leaving Anupamaa. Rupali has been the face of the show since its premiere in 2020 and continues to play a central role.
Controversies Around the Show
In recent months, Anupamaa has faced several controversies. Some cast members who left the show midway reportedly blamed Rupali for their exits, alleging issues on set. However, in an interview with ABP News, Rupali denied these allegations. She stated that she has no influence over the decisions made by producer Rajan Shahi or the channel.
One recent controversy involved actress Alisha Parveen, who was suddenly replaced by Adrija Roy in the show. Adrija now plays Rahi, Anupama’s daughter, opposite Shivam Khajuria, who portrays Prem. The new storyline focuses on Rahi and Prem’s budding love story, which has caught viewers’ attention.

While the show remains popular, its TRP (Television Rating Point) rankings have taken a hit recently. Once the top-rated show, Anupamaa has dropped to fourth place on the TRP chart, with a rating of 2.3.
