Nidhi Shah, known for playing Kinjal Shah in Anupamaa, has said goodbye to the show after being a part of it for 4.5 years. The show is about to take a generational leap, and like many of her co-stars, Nidhi has decided to move on. She shared a heartfelt video on social media, featuring some of her favorite scenes from the show, and wrote an emotional note to reflect on her journey.
In her post, Nidhi said, “With a heavy heart, I say goodbye to Kinju baby, aka Kinjal. After four and a half unforgettable years, it’s time for me to leave this amazing show, Anupamaa. This journey has been more than I ever imagined. Being part of a show that stayed number one on Indian TV is a blessing I’ll always cherish.”
She thanked the show’s producer, Rajan Shahi, for giving her the chance to play Kinjal, and expressed her gratitude to the cast and crew for their support. Nidhi shared how hard it is to say goodbye and mentioned that she is leaving behind a part of herself in Anupamaa. She also thanked her fans for all the love they showed her.
Nidhi ended her note by saying, “Even though it’s hard to move on, I know this is just the start of new adventures. Here’s to new chapters and exciting journeys ahead. Thank you all from the bottom of my heart.”
After she shared the video, her co-stars reacted with kind words. Aashish Mehrotraa, who played Toshu, commented, “It was a beautiful journey. I loved doing scenes with you, Kinju baby. Wish you all the best for the future.” Other co-stars like Paras Kalnawat, Sagar Parekh, and Tassnim Nerurkar also shared their reactions to her emotional post.
Anupamaa is now set to introduce new lead characters, with Alisha Parveen and Shivam Khajuria joining the cast. Although many original cast members are leaving, Rupali Ganguly and Gaurav Khanna will continue to be part of the show.
