Anupamaa: Does TRP Matter to Rajan Shahi? Producer Shares His Thoughts on the Show’s Drop in Rankings
Anupamaa, one of the top-ranked shows, has recently seen a drop in its position on the TRP charts. Shows like Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai and Udne Ki Aasha have moved ahead of the Rupali Ganguly starrer. Now, producer Rajan Shahi has shared his thoughts about the show’s drop in rankings.
In an interview with Telly Talk India, Rajan Shahi said, “TRP matters to everyone, from actors to the caterers. People often say that TRPs don’t matter to them, but they do matter to me. However, I also believe in delivering good content. DKP focuses on a few shows to improve their quality. YRKKH has had many ups and downs, and these changes in the TRP chart are very natural.”
The producer also talked about the current top show, Udne Ki Aasha. He mentioned that it’s great to see good shows like the one starring Kanwar Dhillon and Neha Harsora doing well. He hopes that Anupamaa will soon return to the top spot as well. “I wish them all the best. We will continue working hard for success,” he added.
Anupamaa has been a successful show for 4.5 years, establishing Rupali Ganguly as a household name. Recently, the show took a 15-year leap, introducing new characters like Shivam Khajuria, Alisha Parveen, Spreha Chatterjee, and Varun Kasturia.
Several months ago, actors like Gaurav Khanna, Madalsa Sharma, Nidhi Shah, and Sudhanshu Pandey announced their exit from the show. Most recently, Alisha Parveen was replaced by Adrija Roy. Alisha was reportedly shocked to learn she would be removed, as she was not informed about it beforehand.
