Actor Shivam Khajuria, who plays Prem in the popular TV show Anupamaa, recently spoke to Pinkvilla about what’s coming next in the show. He shared details about upcoming twists, how his life has changed since joining the show, his bond with co-stars, and more.
🔮 What’s the Upcoming Twist?
In the interview, Shivam revealed an exciting twist: Aryan and Mahi’s marriage will soon be a major focus in the storyline.
“Aryan and Mahi’s marriage will soon be shown,” he said.
For those who may not know, Randeep Rai plays Aryan, and Spreha Chatterjee plays Mahi in Anupamaa. Shivam added that it’s still not certain whether the two will actually get married, but both characters want to.
“No one in the family supports the marriage except Prem. Let’s see what drama unfolds,” he teased.
🌟 How Anupamaa Changed Shivam’s Life
Talking about how his life has changed since joining the show, Shivam said:
“Being part of Anupamaa has changed a lot for me. The show is so popular—people watch it across India and even abroad. I get recognized more now. It feels amazing to work on such a big show with such great actors and a great production team.”

When asked about the show’s ups and downs in TRP (ratings), Shivam explained that it’s a normal part of the industry:
“TRPs keep going up and down—it’s all part of the journey.”

Shivam also spoke about how close he is with many of his co-actors. He said he shares a strong bond with:

Speaking specifically about Adrija Roy, he said:
“She’s a great friend and amazing to work with. We laugh a lot while working, and she’s so hardworking. Even when she had a 101°F fever, she was doing her scenes perfectly. There’s a lot to learn from her.”

There have been rumors about a toxic environment on the Anupamaa set, especially regarding Rupali Ganguly. Shivam addressed this clearly:
“I’ve been on the show for 7 months now, and I’ve never seen anything like that. Everything has been good. That’s why Rupali is one of the co-stars I’m closest to.”
📺 Will Shivam Do Reality Shows?
When asked if he’s interested in joining shows like Khatron Ke Khiladi or Bigg Boss, Shivam replied:
“Honestly, I’m not interested in reality shows right now. I want to focus on acting and playing different characters. But never say never—maybe someday, I’ll feel like trying it.”
Shivam joined Anupamaa after the show introduced a new generation track. He stars opposite Adrija Roy and continues to win hearts with his role as Prem.
