Anupamaa Written Update, January 13: Anupama Demands an Apology, Mahi Gets Jealous

In today’s (January 13) episode, Prem is unable to celebrate Makar Sankranti with Rahi. Meanwhile, Anupama misses Anuj while celebrating with her family.

Anupama has a confrontation with a lady who argues with her. Anupama firmly asks the lady to leave the car. When the lady continues to argue, Anupama stands her ground, and the driver ends up apologizing. However, Anupama tells the driver not to apologize as the lady is clearly at fault. The lady taunts Anupama, calling her a middle-class woman with an attitude. Anupama demands an apology from her, and the crowd agrees. The lady finally apologizes, but then tells Anupama that someday she will teach her a lesson.

Jankee complains about how the rich are spoiled, but Anupama reminds her that Khyati was kind. The lady gets a call from Parag and says she couldn’t do the pooja because of Anupama. Parag advises the lady to take her medicine and asks the driver to take her home. Parag vows to punish Anupama for troubling his mother. Anupama tells her family what happened, and Rahi gets angry, saying she would have hurt the lady for her rash driving. Leela comments on how rich people get away with things, but Anupama and Hasmukh explain that the law applies to everyone equally.

Leela tells Anupama about Makar Sankranti, and Anupama says she will prepare for the festival before going to work at the Kotharis. Toshu tells her not to mess up, or they could lose the order. Anupama informs the family that Prem likely won’t join them for the celebration because his friend is in the hospital.

Rahi helps the kids make kites and video calls Prem, showing him that she has written “P” and “R” on the kite. Prem does the same. Rahi expresses her desire to celebrate Makar Sankranti with Prem. Mahi arrives, sees Prem and Rahi on the video call, and notices the P and R on the kite. Mahi becomes more jealous as she realizes she can’t celebrate with Prem. She decides to fly the kite alone and gets angry at Rahi.

Prem and Rahi share their love for each other, and Prem asks about the order. Before Rahi can mention the client’s name, the nurse calls Prem. The next morning, the Shah family gathers to celebrate. Rahi arrives, all dressed up. Mahi also arrives, dressed up excessively, and Anupama suspects her intentions.

Anupama and the family pray for everyone. Anupama prays for her new order, and Rahi dreams of Prem. Anupama texts Khyati that she will arrive on time. She remembers Anuj. Hasmukh and Leela share a funny moment, which makes everyone laugh. Mahi feels relieved when Anupama says everyone should fly their own kites.

As Anupama is about to leave for work, Rahi asks her to wait and celebrate the festival with her. Everyone flies their kites. Anupama misses Anuj, and the episode ends.
