Anupamaa Written Update, January 17: Anupama and Rahi Decide Never to Return to Kothari House After Misbehavior
In tonight’s episode of Anupamaa, Anupama and Rahi get very angry at the Kothari family because of the way they were treated.
Mrs. Kothari tells Parag not to ask Anupama to leave, saying she will prepare prasad. Rahi enters and sees that Anupama is hurt. Gautam asks Rahi why she’s in his room. Rahi explains that she needed to use the washroom, and a child told her it was in his room. Meeta then suggests that maybe Anupama and Rahi were planning to steal from them.
Anupama gets really angry and tells them they are not thieves. Gautam asks Parag to check Anupama. Meeta agrees and says they should check her. Anupama firmly tells them to inspect her belongings if they think she is a thief. Parag then says he will never forget how Anupama insulted his mother. Rahi tells Anupama not to clean the broken glass because she is hurt.
Toshu is worried because Jankee, Anupama, and Rahi are at the Kothari house and not answering his calls. Toshu lies to the neighbors, saying they are catering for the Kothari family. He also says that Khyati is Anupama’s childhood friend. He tells them they are getting many orders because of the Kotharis. Kinjal questions Toshu about lying, but he claims it’s just a marketing tactic to get customers.
Anupama and Rahi are still angry with the Kothari family. Anupama tells Rahi that she feels things will only get worse. Both Anupama and Rahi decide they will never go back to the Kothari house. Prathna cries after Gautam hurts her.
Ansh tells a client that his game idea was stolen and asks the client to arrange a meeting with the Kothari family. The client calls Gautam to set up the meeting. Gautam says he will meet Ansh later. The Kothari family celebrates Makar Sankranti. Khyati gifts Meeta gold bangles, but Meeta taunts her, saying they aren’t expensive enough. Parag and Anirudh remember their childhood days during Makar Sankranti. Guests arrive and praise Parag for his kite-flying skills.
Anupama tells Rahi not to stay angry for too long. She then helps a child fly a kite. Mrs. Kothari says no one can cut Parag’s kite. The episode ends.
