Former Maharashtra Minister Baba Siddique was shot and killed by three unidentified individuals in Bandra East, Mumbai, on October 12. Many television celebrities who knew him, and were regulars at his Iftar parties, mourned his death and paid tribute to him. Among them were Arjun Bijlani, Aly Goni, and Mahhi Vij.
Arjun Bijlani, who attended Baba Siddique’s Iftar party every year with his wife, expressed his disbelief and sadness on social media. He wrote, “RIP @BabaSiddique!! I can’t believe it!! Why… why!!”
Aly Goni, who also regularly attended the party with his girlfriend Jasmine Bhasin, prayed for Baba Siddique’s soul. He shared, “May Allah rest your soul in peace, Baba Siddique ji. You will be missed. What a gem we lost.”
Actress Mahhi Vij posted a picture of her daughter with Baba Siddique from one of the Iftar parties. She wrote an emotional tribute, saying, “We love you forever. Still can’t believe someone who protected and pampered us is gone. Tara, where’s my baby Tara? We will never hear these words again.” She added that her daughter Tara was fortunate to have received so much love from Siddique, concluding, “You gave us so much. You are a tiger and will always be.”
Bigg Boss 15 contestant Shamita Shetty was also deeply shocked by the news. She shared, “Shocked to hear about Baba Siddique!! What’s happening!!! May his soul rest in peace, and may God give his family the strength to cope with this terrible loss.”
Expectant mom Yuvika Chaudhary also posted a picture of Baba Siddique, praying for his soul.
The loss of Baba Siddique has deeply affected many in the entertainment industry, as they remember him with fondness and love.
