Ashi Singh, who became widely known for her role in Sony TV’s Yeh Un Dinon Ki Baat Hai (YUDKBH) alongside Randeep Rai, recently shared an interesting story about her journey in the entertainment industry. Before she became a household name with her role in YUDKBH, Ashi was offered a part in Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, one of Indian television’s most popular shows. This opportunity came before she landed her big break, revealing an unknown chapter in her career.
In a candid interview, Ashi explained that she had signed up for two to three shows before securing her iconic role in YUDKBH. One of these opportunities was Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, where she was supposed to play a character that would be introduced after a leap in the storyline. However, things didn’t go as planned.
“I have done a few shows so far but have signed up for eight. Before Yeh Un Dinon Ki Baat Hai, I had signed up for two to three shows. One of them was Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai. I was supposed to play a character in that show, but that character was never introduced,” Ashi shared.
She went on to explain that despite signing the contract and preparing for the role, she received a call 15-20 days later informing her that the character she was set to play would not be included in the show. The producers decided that introducing her character wouldn’t add value to the storyline. This unexpected news was disappointing for Ashi, as it had been an exciting opportunity for her at the time.
Since then, Ashi Singh has continued to win over audiences with her performances, most recently in Meet: Badlegi Duniya Ki Reet, where she has shown her versatility and growth as an actress in the television industry.
