Asif Ali Gets Real About Health Struggles During Tikitaka Shoot

Asif Ali Shares Emotional Story About Being Bedridden and in a Wheelchair During Tikitaka Shoot: ‘I Cried Like a Child’

Malayalam actor Asif Ali recently shared a heartfelt message with his fans. He opened up about the difficult time he faced while shooting for his upcoming movie Tikitaka.

The action film started filming in 2023, but a serious accident forced the team to stop shooting for a while. Asif Ali posted a detailed note on his social media, explaining the tough journey he went through during the project.

In the film, Asif plays a character named John Denver. He described John as a strong and determined person who never gives up. Asif said that his own real-life struggles during the shoot were very similar to what his character goes through.

He shared that Tikitaka required him to train hard and go through a big physical transformation. But during fight training, he had a bad accident. This left him stuck in bed, and he had to use a wheelchair for several weeks. Sadly, he also lost all the fitness progress he had worked on for over a year.

“After the accident, I was bedridden and had to use a wheelchair. I lost all the hard work I had put in for the role. Unlike my character John Denver, I cried like a child in the hospital,” Asif wrote.

Now, 18 months later, the filming has started again. Even though he is still healing from injuries to his meniscus and ligaments, Asif is fully dedicated to the movie. He said Tikitaka is a high-energy film made with passion and is expected to release by the end of this year.

Asif also mentioned that while Malayalam cinema is doing very well, this film will offer something new to fans—a fresh and exciting kind of mass entertainer. He ended his note by thanking his fans for their support and asked for their continued love and encouragement.
