Popular social media influencer and actress Avneet Kaur is facing accusations of fraud from a small jewelry brand. Screenshots of conversations between Avneet and the brand have appeared online, drawing a lot of attention and sparking discussions among people.
The Jewelry Brand Claims
On August 6, the jewelry brand posted on Instagram about their issues with Avneet Kaur. They explained that they had a verbal agreement with Avneet’s stylist. According to the agreement, Avneet would wear their jewelry on her European trip and tag the brand in her social media posts. In return, the brand provided the jewelry for free. However, Avneet never tagged the brand as promised.
The brand shared screenshots of their chats with Avneet’s stylist and Avneet herself. They said that when Avneet didn’t tag them in her first post, her stylist promised it would happen in a later post. Despite this promise, the tagging didn’t happen. When the brand followed up, the stylist suggested that Avneet would pay for the jewelry instead. After Avneet returned from her trip, the brand sent invoices, but Avneet reportedly refused to pay. She said she would credit the brand in her Instagram story instead.
The brand included photos of Avneet wearing their jewelry during her trip in their post. They said their goal was not to “name and shame” Avneet but to share what happened. So far, Avneet Kaur has not responded publicly to the accusations or the Instagram post. Many people have criticized her in the comments section.
