EXCLUSIVE: Why Ayesha Khan Didn’t Appear in Dulquer Salmaan’s Film Lucky Baskhar Even After Being Confirmed

In an exclusive chat with Pinkvilla, actress Ayesha Khan shared the real reason she couldn’t be part of Dulquer Salmaan’s film Lucky Baskhar, even though she had already been confirmed for the role.

Ayesha Khan, a rising star in the entertainment world, has won many hearts with her performances. She began her acting career in South Indian films and gained even more popularity after her appearance on Bigg Boss 17. After the show, she signed a Telugu film with the well-known actor Dulquer Salmaan and was all set to be part of Lucky Baskhar.

However, fans were surprised when the movie released and Ayesha was not seen in it. Speaking to Pinkvilla, Ayesha explained, “That film has already been released, and the dates didn’t match, so it never happened.” She had earlier expressed excitement about working with Dulquer in 2024.

Lucky Baskhar, directed by Venky Atluri, featured Dulquer Salmaan and Meenakshi Chaudhary in lead roles. The film hit theaters on October 31, 2024, and became a big success across India.

Meanwhile, Ayesha Khan is currently playing the lead role in the drama Dil Ko Rafuu Kar Lei, opposite Karan V Grover. The show is produced by Sargun Mehta and Ravi Dubey and has already crossed a million views.

Talking about her role in the show, Ayesha said, “The first episode has crossed 9 million views. Honestly, I believed in the content and the effort we were putting in.”

She added, “These days, it’s hard to predict what will work and what won’t. This show has a slightly different format—it’s not traditional TV. I just hoped it would reach the right audience. Thankfully, it did.”

For those who didn’t know, Pinkvilla was the first to report that Ayesha would be starring in Dil Ko Rafuu Kar Lei.
