Barkha Bisht Accuses Ex-Husband Indraneil Sengupta of Cheating After 14 Years of Marriage: ‘If It Were in My Hands…’
In a recent interview, Barkha Bisht spoke about her divorce from her ex-husband, actor Indraneil Sengupta, and revealed that she tried to save their marriage even after finding out about his affair.
Barkha Bisht, a well-known actress, has been making headlines recently due to her personal life. In a new interview, she reflected on her divorce from Indraneil Sengupta. Barkha and Indraneil were married for 14 years but parted ways in 2022. There were rumors that Indraneil had an affair with Bengali actress Ishaa Saha, which is said to have led to the downfall of their marriage. In the interview, Barkha spoke about how she was cheated on in the marriage.
Talking to Siddharth Kannan, Barkha shared that Indraneil chose to leave their marriage. She said, “Getting out of the marriage was his decision. He decided to walk out for reasons known only to him. If it were in my hands, I would still be married. We had a good marriage.”
Barkha also accused Indraneil of cheating and explained how difficult it was for her to leave the marriage, even though she had been cheated on. She admitted that she used to think she would walk out of a marriage if she were ever cheated, but when it happened to her, it was not that easy.
Despite knowing about the affair, Barkha revealed that she forgave Indraneil and tried to save their marriage for two years. She added, “Indraneil made a choice—maybe he can justify it now. He can give a hundred reasons for why our marriage ended, but his actions are his to explain.”
When speaking about the pain she felt after their separation, Barkha described it as physical pain and said it shattered her faith in humanity.
Barkha and Indraneil got married in 2008 after meeting while shooting for Pyaar Ke Do Naam: Ek Raadha, Ek Shyaam. They welcomed their daughter, Meira, in 2011.
