Barkha Bisht Talks About Heartbreak After Breakup with Karan Singh Grover and Why They Split
In a recent interview, Barkha Bisht opened up about her past relationships, including her breakup with Karan Singh Grover. She also shared the reasons behind their split after dating for two years.
Barkha, who is well known for her roles in television and films, recalled her relationship with Karan, which began while they were filming the teen drama “Kitni Mast Hai Zindagi” in 2004. She said, “We dated for two years. Karan has an inherent kindness, which I was attracted to because people in Mumbai aren’t always kind. Whenever I find kindness, I get drawn to it.”
Barkha also spoke about how this was her first heartbreak in Mumbai. She remembered, “He is very good-looking—six-pack abs. I was only 23 years old!” Over time, she said they grew into different people, and their relationship ended because their perspectives on life changed.
She explained, “There was nothing wrong in the relationship, but our views on life were different.” She also mentioned that Karan is two years younger than her, and as they grew older, their differences became more noticeable. Barkha added, “I am still very fond of him and wish him the best wherever he is.”
In the same interview, Barkha also talked about her past marriage to Indraneil Sengupta, accusing him of cheating after 14 years of marriage. She explained how hard it was for her to leave the relationship.
Karan Singh Grover is now happily married to actress Bipasha Basu, and the couple has a daughter named Devi. Meanwhile, Barkha and Indraneil separated in 2022, after 14 years of marriage, and they have a 13-year-old daughter, Meira.
