Barun Sobti recently opened up about his experiences as a parent, sharing that it’s not always as perfect as people might think. The actor, known for his upcoming web series “Raat Jawaan Hai,” talked about the ups and downs of parenting during an interview with News 18.
Barun mentioned that the pandemic gave him a chance to be present for his daughter’s birth, which helped him bond with her. He described parenting as a beautiful but challenging journey, saying it’s not just happy moments but also tough ones. He shared, “Parenting isn’t a shiny pink picture that’s painted. It’s actually a lot of things. It’s about beautiful moments that you encounter every now and then. Your child says or does something that gives you pride and love, but there are tough moments too.”
Barun also discussed his hands-on approach to being a dad. Although nannies help with his kids, he has been very involved, especially during his son’s first year, when his daughter relied on him a lot. He’s changed many diapers and made sure to put his kids to sleep, enjoying every moment with them.
Besides parenting, Barun Sobti has had a successful acting career, with notable roles like Arnav Singh Raizada in “Iss Pyaar Ko Kyaa Naam Doon.” He started his career in 2009 with “Shraddha” and appeared in many projects, including “Asur,” “The Great Indian Dysfunctional Family,” and “Jaanbaaz Hindustan Ke.” On a personal note, Barun married his high school sweetheart, Pashmeen Manchanda, in 2010.
