He had been suffering from a liver ailment and breathed his last on March 23, 2025, in Hyderabad. His death has left his colleagues and fans heartbroken, as he was known for his brilliant writing that brought joy to millions.

According to a Free Press Journal report, Manoj Santoshi passed away in Hyderabad, though some reports suggest he was in Aligarh, Uttar Pradesh. His mortal remains are being taken to Bulandshahr, Uttar Pradesh, for the final rites.

Manoj had a deep connection with Aligarh, visiting frequently and maintaining strong ties with local artists. He even gave opportunities to Aligarh-based talents like Sumit Saraf and Sanjay Maheshwari in Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain.

As one of the key writers of the show, Manoj played a crucial role in its success, writing many of its most-loved episodes. His passing is a huge loss to the television industry, and many who worked with him over the years are mourning his demise.

For those who don’t know, Manoj Santoshi was also a writer for hit comedy shows like Happu Ki Ultan Paltan, Jijaji Chhat Par Hai (2018), and May I Come in Madam? (2016).

Amid this heartbreaking news, another concern has emerged for Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain fans. Actor Aasif Sheikh, known for playing Vibhuti Narayan Mishra, was recently hospitalized after collapsing on set. Reports say he was rushed to the hospital, but his family and team have yet to release an official statement regarding his condition.
