Bigg Boss 18: Alice Kaushik Opens Up About Her Father’s Suicide
In the latest episode of Bigg Boss 18, Alice Kaushik shared her heartbreaking story about her father’s death while talking with Nyrra Banerji.
Alice, who is currently a contestant on the show hosted by Salman Khan, discussed her difficult past, including her father’s suicide in 2016. She talked about her complicated family life, saying her parents often fought, and though her dad could be violent, she felt close to him because he understood her emotions.
When Nyrra asked if her dad had ever been violent toward her, Alice admitted that both her parents had been. She explained, “It was in his nature to be violent. We grew up with that. For the longest, this was normal for us.”
Recalling the day she learned about her father’s death, Alice described how her mother asked her to call him. When she did, an unknown person answered. The caller asked who she wanted to speak to, and when Alice responded, the person told her that her dad was no longer alive.
Alice became frustrated, insisting on speaking to her father, but her world shattered when the caller, a police officer, explained that her father had died by suicide. She was in shock, thinking it was a cruel joke. The officer even sent her a photo on WhatsApp to prove the news.
Sharing her pain, Alice revealed that she couldn’t erase the image of her father from her mind for four years. She mentioned a traumatic moment when her dad was brought to the cremation site, which added to her distress.
When Nyrra asked where her mother was during this time, Alice said her mom was there but didn’t seem to care much, as she was already married to someone else. Alice described her mother’s second husband as not a good person. Sadly, Alice’s mother passed away in 2023. When Nyrra, unaware of this, asked if her mom was still with that man, Alice nodded “no” repeatedly without saying anything.
Alice shared that she had to move out of her home because her mother was influenced by her husband. Before entering the Bigg Boss 18 house, Alice was a finalist along with Vivian Dsena. Salman Khan praised her strength in dealing with her past and said she has a 100 percent chance of winning the show.
On the personal side, Alice is currently dating actor Kanwar Dhillon, whom she met while working on Pandya Store.
