Bigg Boss 18, December 24 Written Update: Chum Darang Becomes Time God but Sparks Controversy
In the latest episode of Bigg Boss 18, the much-awaited Time God task took place, and after intense competition, Chum Darang emerged as the new Time God. However, her decisions during the task caused major drama in the house.
Shrutika Arjun Loses Her Role as Time God
Before the task began, Bigg Boss removed Shrutika Arjun from her Time God duties because she failed to monitor the housemates while they were sleeping. Bigg Boss then announced a new task to select the next Time God and called everyone to the garden area.
The Time God Task Begins
Bigg Boss explained the rules: the Time God would get a direct entry into the show’s 14th week. Contestants were instructed to make snowmen, and Shrutika, now acting as the task’s monitor, had to select the two best snowmen. These two contestants would then enter the activity room, where they could shop for ration using Rs 20 lakh points.
As the contestants started building their snowmen, arguments broke out, with some sabotaging each other’s creations. Despite the chaos, Shrutika declared that Chum Darang and Karan Veer Mehra had made the best snowmen.
A Costly Decision by Chum
Inside the activity room, Bigg Boss gave Chum and Karan Veer Rs 20 lakh points to bid for the ration. However, Chum misunderstood the task and wrote down Rs 19,99,999 for herself, leaving Karan Veer with just 1 rupee to buy food for the entire house.
When the bidding ended, Chum realized her mistake. Karan Veer could only afford a single lemon with his 1 rupee, leaving the house without sufficient food. Chum expressed regret but had already been declared the new Time God.
Backlash from Housemates
Bigg Boss tasked Chum with returning the old ration to the storeroom, which frustrated the housemates even more. They lashed out at Chum for prioritizing the Time God position over food for everyone.
Despite the backlash, Chum requested Bigg Boss to return the ration and said she no longer wanted to be the Time God. However, Sara Arfeen Khan, Eisha Singh, Rajat Dalal, and others decided to rebel. They entered the storeroom and retrieved the ration for themselves, openly defying the rules.
Chum Loses Her Position
Chum chose not to confront her fellow housemates over the rule violation. Observing her inability to maintain order, Bigg Boss reprimanded Chum and removed her from the Time God position.
The episode ended with unresolved tensions as the house grappled with the fallout from Chum’s decisions.
