Bigg Boss 18 Exclusive: Alice Kaushik Clears Air on Age-Shaming Karan Veer Mehra and the ‘Woman Card’ Controversy
Alice Kaushik, who was recently evicted from Bigg Boss 18, opened up in an exclusive chat with Pinkvilla about the controversies surrounding her during the show. Alice addressed accusations of age-shaming fellow contestant Karan Veer Mehra and clarified her comments about using the ‘woman card’ in one of the tasks.
On Age-Shaming Karan Veer Mehra
Alice had referred to Karan Veer as a “senior citizen” during the show, which sparked criticism. She explained that Karan Veer often referred to the show as Junior Bigg Boss, implying that younger contestants lacked seriousness. This irritated Alice, leading her to make the comment. She added, “He kept talking about juniors, so I jokingly called him a senior citizen.”
On the ‘Woman Card’ Controversy
During the Time God task, Alice had initially considered using the ‘woman card’ as a strategy but quickly realized it was wrong. She clarified, “I told the girls not to use it because we were also physically defending ourselves during the task.” Alice said she alerted her team immediately, and the matter was later addressed by Salman Khan during the Weekend Ka Vaar.
Thoughts on the Time God Task
Alice felt that Digvijay Rathee didn’t deserve the Time God title, claiming all the credit should go to Rajat Dalal. She agreed with fellow contestant Kashish Kapoor, who had said, “Khairat mei mila usko Time God” (He got it as charity).
On Digvijay and Kashish’s Fights
Alice also commented on the frequent arguments between Digvijay and Kashish, calling them fake. “When they first entered the house, they had a big fight, but it was so obviously fake that no one cared. We were busy cooking and eating,” she said.
On Shilpa Shirodkar’s Alleged Bias
When asked if Shilpa Shirodkar favors Vivian over Karan Veer, Alice said, “I don’t know, and I don’t think even after the show it can be proven.”
One-Word Descriptions for Contestants
Alice shared her opinions on her fellow housemates with one-word descriptions:
- Karan Veer Mehra: Fattu (terrified)
- Digvijay Rathee: Chamcha (sycophant)
- Kashish Kapoor: Fierce
- Rajat Dalal: Samikaran (balanced)
- Shilpa Shirodkar: Player
- Avinash Mishra: Multitalented

Alice’s candid revelations offer a glimpse into her experiences and relationships inside the Bigg Boss house, leaving fans with much to talk about.
