Bigg Boss 18: Ravi Kishan Shares Insights on Contestants and Their Strategies
Bhojpuri superstar and Bigg Boss 1 finalist Ravi Kishan is back on TV as the host of a special segment in Bigg Boss 18 called Haye Daiyya with Ravi Bhaiya Garda Uda Denge. In an exclusive chat with Pinkvilla, Ravi shared his thoughts on the current season, contestants’ gameplay, and his journey from a contestant in Bigg Boss 1 to hosting this special segment.
On Returning as a Host
When asked about his reaction to hosting Haye Daiyya with Ravi Bhaiya, Ravi expressed excitement and gratitude. “I was very happy! I never imagined that one day I would co-host Bigg Boss, especially since it’s already hosted by Salman Khan, who is the heart and soul of the show. It’s a great opportunity,” he shared.
However, Ravi admitted he was initially skeptical. “Before entering, I found the contestants boring. I wondered what I’d do with them. Thankfully, they picked up on my hints and started playing more openly. Now, the drama is out in full swing,” he added.
Who’s Playing the Smartest Game?
According to Ravi, Shilpa Shirodkar is one of the smartest players this season. “Look at how she’s transformed! She used to cry and play the emotional card, but now she’s alert and strategic. She’s forming relationships and playing her cards well. She’s doing everything perfectly,” he said.
When asked about the criticism that Shilpa is playing it safe, Ravi disagreed. “No, she’s playing to win now. She knows what she’s doing. Vivian Dsena, on the other hand, is secure because he’s the channel’s favorite (ladla) and has a strong fan following. Shilpa, however, is working hard to rebuild her image and connect with a new generation of fans, as most of her old fans are from the 90s,” he explained.
Ravi also praised Karan Veer Mehra, saying, “He’s finally coming out strong and doing great. The wild card entries, too, have shaken things up, especially for the female housemates, who’ve become more silent now.”
On the Top 2 Contestants
Vivian Dsena and Alice Kaushik were declared top contenders on the premiere night, but Ravi believes the show should avoid predictability. “I’m sure Salman Khan knows how to keep things unpredictable. I see some underdogs rising who weren’t noticed earlier. That will keep the TRP ratings high,” he said.
Why Does Bigg Boss Stay Popular?
Ravi shared his perspective on why Bigg Boss continues to dominate TRP charts. “It’s human nature. People enjoy drama, fights, and peeking into others’ lives. That’s why the show is so entertaining. If it were watched by animals, it would flop. But for humans, it’s endlessly enjoyable,” he joked.
Ravi’s Dream Team for Bigg Boss
If Ravi had the chance to step into the Bigg Boss house again, he’d want Ranveer Singh, Ranbir Kapoor, Ajay Devgn, Nana Patekar, and Kangana Ranaut as housemates. “Imagine the drama! That season would be unforgettable,” he laughed.
