In an exclusive chat with Pinkvilla, Bigg Boss 18 contestant Shehzada Dhami opened up about his journey, including why he previously turned down Bigg Boss and his desire to participate in Khatron Ke Khiladi. Here are some highlights from the interview:
How excited are you to be part of Salman Khan’s show?
I am very excited.
Have you ever met or worked with Salman Khan?
No, this will be my first time.
Were you offered Bigg Boss before?
Yes, I was offered Bigg Boss earlier, but I didn’t accept it.
If the Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai controversy hadn’t happened, would you have accepted the Bigg Boss offer?
No, if I had been part of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, I wouldn’t have taken the offer. I believe in fulfilling commitments. It’s not right to break the trust of another show, so I wouldn’t have accepted Bigg Boss if I was already committed elsewhere.
What triggers you or might make you angry inside the house?
Disrespecting others, especially women. If someone misbehaves, they can’t expect respect in return.
Would you do Khatron Ke Khiladi after Bigg Boss?
Yes, I would love to be a part of Khatron Ke Khiladi.
How did your friend Pratiksha Honmukhe react to you joining Bigg Boss?
I haven’t told anyone except my mother. I’m a bit superstitious and believe in keeping good news to myself. I only told my mom because I didn’t want this opportunity to slip away.
What was your mom’s reaction?
She reminded me that I always make my own decisions. She trusts me and told me to just be myself inside the house, and that’s what I plan to do.
What will you miss the most inside the Bigg Boss house?
I’ll miss my phone, personal space, and being able to go outside.
How would you describe yourself—practical, emotional, or short-tempered?
I’m not short-tempered at all. I know the difference between right and wrong, and I’ll speak up when something is wrong.
Have you watched previous seasons of Bigg Boss?
No.
Are there any duties in the house that you won’t be able to do?
I’ll try my best to do everything. If there’s something I struggle with, I’ll ask for help from the others.
During the grand premiere of Bigg Boss 18, Shehzada Dhami entered the house with fellow contestant Avinash Mishra. There are 19 contestants in total, all ready to face Salman Khan’s reality show challenge.
