Bigg Boss 18: Shrutika Arjun Reveals Why She Can’t Forgive Yamini Malhotra and Calls Shilpa Shirodkar ‘Mithi Churi’
In an exclusive interview with Pinkvilla, Shrutika Arjun opened up about her time on Bigg Boss 18, the elimination of Digvijay Rathee, her relationship with Karan Veer Mehra, and her thoughts on Vivian Dsena, Eisha Singh, and Avinash Mishra’s friendship.
Shrutika’s journey on Bigg Boss 18 ended just one week before the grand finale. After leaving the house, she spoke about why she joined the show, sharing that it was because of “Sallu baby sir” (Salman Khan), whom she called a “gem.”
One of the major points Shrutika addressed was Yamini Malhotra’s comment about her personal life. Yamini had spoken about Shrutika’s strained relationship with her mother and her financial status, which upset Shrutika. She said, “This came like a shocker. The way she has portrayed it is so bad, I would never forgive Yamini for that.” Shrutika explained that she won’t lower herself to Yamini’s level but added that she loves and respects her mother, who sacrificed a lot for her children. She also shared that her mother is strict and that she still seeks permission from her parents.
Shrutika also responded to the comment about her financial status. She explained that while her father supports the whole family, her family is traditional and doesn’t like visiting her home due to her marriage. She revealed that this is why they often meet in cafes.
On Digvijay’s elimination, Shrutika said that they initially had a good bond but it worsened due to a small argument. She recalled how Digvijay accused her of betraying him and even called her “ghatiya aurat.” Shrutika said she ranked contestants based on their contributions but later realized that the task was actually about eviction. She mentioned that if she had changed her decision, she would have been called “indecisive.”
Shrutika admitted she regrets not using her special power and feels bad about the elimination. She mentioned that Salman Khan reminded her that the eviction was not her fault, and if her friends had advised her to choose the swap option, she would have done it.
When asked if she could be friends with Digvijay outside the show, Shrutika said she would, as she believes he is a “very nice human being.” She added that Digvijay didn’t want to form close bonds during the show, and she understood his reasons.
Shrutika also discussed her friendship with Chum Darang, admitting that while Chum had other priorities, she was still emotionally attached to her. She said, “In friendship, we shouldn’t have any expectations.”
Speaking about her bond with Karan Veer Mehra, Shrutika described it as “Tom and Jerry” because they often had different opinions. She praised Karan for never holding grudges, and they often patched up quickly.
Regarding Vivian Dsena, Eisha Singh, and Avinash Mishra’s friendship, Shrutika explained, “Vivian is genuinely there for Eisha and Avinash, but Eisha and Avinash are more for each other. For them, they are each other’s priority, but Vivian looks up to them genuinely.”
When asked to describe her fellow contestants in one word, Shrutika called:
- Karan Veer: #TomandJerry
- Eisha: Lives in her dreamland
- Chum: Best friend
- Shilpa: Mithi Churi
- Avinash: Bully
- Chaahat: Dramebaaz
- Rajat: Humorously Paltu
- Vivian: Gentleman
The grand finale of Bigg Boss 18 will take place on January 19.
