According to reports, the theme for Bigg Boss 18 will be based on the “past, present, and future.” It’s hinted that the show may have connections to past contestants as well. A source told Times Now, “The theme of Bigg Boss 18 will focus on the past, present, and future. Salman had a fun time filming the promo, which is expected to air by the end of the month. In the promo, fans will see him talk about these different timelines. This concept will also be reflected in the design of the house and some changes in the format.”
This theme has sparked rumors that some former contestants might return for season 18. However, casting is still in progress, and nothing is confirmed yet. After Anil Kapoor hosted Bigg Boss OTT 3, there was speculation about whether Salman Khan would return as the host. But his appearance on the set confirmed that he’s back.
For context, last year’s Bigg Boss 17 had the theme “Dil, Dimaag, and Dum,” with contestants split into different groups and rooms based on that concept. Every season, fans eagerly wait to see the new house theme, as it’s always creatively designed with different sections reflecting the theme.
As for the contestants, several TV actors are rumored to join Bigg Boss 18, including Zaan Khan, Anjali Anand, Chahat Pandey, Kashish Kapoor (from Splitsvilla), Digvijay Rathee, and Stree 2 actor Sunil Kumar. There were also rumors that TV actor Shoaib Ibrahim was the first confirmed contestant for the season, but he later clarified in his vlog that he’s not participating this year. He mentioned that he hopes to join the show in 3 to 4 years.
