In a new Bigg Boss 18 promo, Karan Veer Mehra gets emotional, feeling guilty for not standing up for his friends Shilpa Shirodkar and Chum Darang.
Karan has been a talked-about contestant this season, especially after being criticized for staying out of house issues and talking behind people’s backs. Now, he’s trying to change his approach.
In the upcoming episode, during the “Time God” task, where Shilpa, Rajat Dalal, and Chaahat Pandey had to collect tea packets, Karan didn’t actively help Shilpa. While others like Chum Darang, Alice Kaushik, and Avinash Mishra supported Shilpa, Karan seemed disappointed in himself, which the promo captured.
In the promo, Karan, feeling ashamed, asks Shilpa if she’s upset. She says she isn’t, but Chum Darang points out that Karan’s words and actions don’t match, making it hard to trust him.
Karan, feeling guilty, tells Shilpa that he regrets not being there for her and Chum when they needed him. He says, “I talk about being there for my friends, but when the time came, I didn’t stand up for them. I’m ashamed. I call myself a 45-year-old man, but I feel so clueless.”
With tears in his eyes, Karan admits he feels unworthy of friendship, but Shilpa comforts him, asking him not to overthink.
For those curious, Karan has often been linked with Chum Darang, though she has clarified she doesn’t have romantic feelings for him.
