WATCH: Bigg Boss 18’s Rajat Dalal and Chum Darang React to Elvish Yadav’s ‘Paid Media’ Controversy
After the Bigg Boss 18 grand finale, finalists Rajat Dalal and Chum Darang shared their thoughts on the ongoing controversy involving Elvish Yadav and the media.
What Happened?
Before the finale, journalists were invited into the Bigg Boss 18 house for an open panel discussion. This was the second time reporters were given a chance to question the celebrity supporters of the finalists. During the session, Bigg Boss OTT 2 winner Elvish Yadav stirred controversy by accusing the media of being “paid.”
Rajat Dalal’s Reaction
After the finale, Rajat Dalal was asked about his thoughts on Elvish’s comment. Rajat said,
“Maine nahi bola na. Bhai (Elvish Yadav) ko laga hoga. Bhai ne bol diya hoga.”
(“I didn’t say it. Maybe Elvish felt it and said it.”)
When asked about his own strong personality and reactions, Rajat replied,
“Aap na toh mere ghar ke ho, na mere saath jeevan beetana hai. Main jaisa insaan hun, mere aas paas wale kuch bolenge aur jo main maanta hun, toh main sunn lunga.”
(“You are neither from my family nor someone I’ll spend my life with. I only listen to the people around me and to what I believe in.”)
Chum Darang’s Take
Chum Darang, who finished in fifth place, also addressed the controversy and commented on Karan Veer Mehra’s involvement. She said,
“Humko nahi lagta aisa kuchh hoga kyunki jo show mein dikha hoga waisa hi logon ko baahar story samajh mein aaya hoga. Aap sabko bhi pata hai ki Karan ne bahut achha khela.”
(“I don’t think anything like this will happen because people outside would have understood the story as it was shown in the show. You all also know that Karan played very well.”)
Final Standings
Rajat Dalal ended his journey as the second runner-up, while Chum Darang was evicted in the fifth position.
