Popular shows like Bigg Boss hosted by Salman Khan and Khatron Ke Khiladi hosted by Rohit Shetty may be in trouble. These shows, loved by millions, are produced by Banijay Asia – and now the production company has reportedly ended its partnership with Colors TV. This sudden move might lead to the cancellation of these hit reality shows.

According to a report by Pinkvilla, Banijay Asia has backed out from producing Bigg Boss, Khatron Ke Khiladi, and other reality shows for Colors TV. The reason seems to be internal issues within Banijay Asia, which led to Endemol (another company involved) pulling out from their deal with the channel. This split started around two months ago, and things escalated just two weeks before the official withdrawal.

A source told India Today that preparations for the next season of Khatron Ke Khiladi had already started. Some celebrities were confirmed for the show, while talks were ongoing with others. But after Banijay’s decision, the plans were dropped, and the confirmed celebrities were informed that their schedules were released.

Stars like Orry, Isha Malviya, Munawar Faruqui, Khushboo Patani (Disha Patani’s sister), and boxer Neeraj Goyat had already signed up. They were even getting ready to fly abroad for shooting next month. The report also mentions that even host Rohit Shetty is upset by this unexpected cancellation.

In the meantime, there were also reports that casting for Bigg Boss OTT 4 had begun. Comedian Kunal Kamra, along with Apoorva Mukhija and Dhanashree Verma, were reportedly approached for the show. But no official announcement has been made yet.

Pinkvilla reached out to Banijay Asia’s legal team for a comment, but they didn’t respond at the time this article was published.
