Salman Khan’s Bigg Boss and Rohit Shetty’s Khatron Ke Khiladi NOT Cancelled – Here’s What We Know
There have been many rumors that the popular reality shows Bigg Boss (hosted by Salman Khan) and Khatron Ke Khiladi (hosted by Rohit Shetty) might be cancelled. But now, Pinkvilla has learned that the shows are not cancelled. They will just be delayed.
Both shows are among the biggest reality shows on Indian TV and have huge fan followings. The confusion started when Banijay Asia, the company that produced these shows for Colors TV, ended its partnership with the channel. This led to speculation that the shows would be stopped.
But don’t worry—Bigg Boss and Khatron Ke Khiladi will still return. Colors TV is now looking for new producers to take over the shows. So, the shows will happen, just a little later than expected.
Earlier reports said that there were internal issues in Banijay Asia. Because of this, Endemol, the company behind these shows, also decided to pull out from Colors TV. The decision was made around two weeks ago after the problems started two months ago.
Meanwhile, Khatron Ke Khiladi had already started planning for the new season. A source told India Today that a few celebrities had already been confirmed, and talks were going on with others too. But after the producers backed out, even the confirmed celebs had their schedules canceled.
Some of the celebrities who had signed contracts include Orry, Isha Malviya, Munawar Faruqui, Khushboo Patani (Disha Patani’s sister), and boxer Neeraj Goyat. They were all set to travel abroad for the shoot next month.
In the meantime, Bigg Boss 18 contestant Chaahat Pandey was asked about the cancellation rumors. She told the paparazzi, “I don’t know anything about this.” She later told Viral Bhayani, “I don’t think Bigg Boss will ever stop. Whatever is happening will be sorted out.”
