Chhavi Mittal’s Emotional Reflection on 3-Year Breast Cancer Journey

Actress Chhavi Mittal, who bravely fought breast cancer, looked back on her journey as she marked three years since her surgery. Chhavi was diagnosed with breast cancer in April 2022 and had her surgery on April 25, 2022. Since then, she has been an inspiration to many with her strength and positivity.

On the occasion of completing three years, Chhavi shared a heartfelt video on Instagram. In the clip, she included moments from her journey and added a voiceover to talk about how she felt during that tough time.

Chhavi revealed that she didn’t realize how lonely her cancer journey would be. She remembered the moment when she was taken to the operation theatre, and doctors kept explaining about the lumpectomy and mini LD flap reconstruction. That’s when she truly felt alone.

In the video, she opened up about how her right breast was operated on, and even though her loved ones were around, she had to face most of the pain alone. Chhavi said,

“I did my physiotherapy alone. I massaged my stitches myself. I cried many times when no one was watching. I was so lost. People I thought would be there for me slowly drifted away. But now, I feel so strong that even I surprise myself. Once you connect with yourself, you don’t need anyone else. And I’ve found that connection with my soul.”

She also showed moments from her workouts, time in the hospital, and the highs and lows of the last three years. In the caption, she wrote:

“3 years. And it feels like a lifetime. A lifetime of lessons, realizations, battles, ups and downs… I’m so, so proud of myself. It wasn’t easy. It is not easy. But as long as I have me and my sanity, I got this. Happy 3rd birthday to me! #cancerwarrior #breastcancerwarrior”
