Chris Evans’ Tattoo Artist Shares What Still Surprises Him About the Actor: “He’s Got Those Hidden Depths”
Chris Evans, best known for playing Captain America, has impressed fans with his acting for years. But according to his tattoo artist Josh Lord, there’s a lot more to Chris than what people see on screen.
Chris Evans Surprises Even Those Who Know Him Well
Chris recently visited Josh Lord’s tattoo studio in New York to surprise a fan and even got a tattoo of his MCU character. But Josh says what really amazes him is Chris’s hidden talents.
In an interview with People Magazine, Josh said,
“One thing that still surprises me about him is that he always has some secret talent we didn’t know about.”
Josh shared a fun story to prove his point. He once tried to show Chris a new card trick he had learned, but it didn’t go well.
“I flubbed it,” he laughed. “But Chris did the same trick — perfectly. It was actually a hard one, and he did it like it was no big deal. He’s got those hidden depths.”
The Avengers Tattoo Memory
Back in 2018, as the original Avengers were getting ready to wrap up their journey with Endgame, five out of the six original stars got tattoos together to remember their time in the Marvel world. Chris Evans, Robert Downey Jr., Scarlett Johansson, Chris Hemsworth, and Jeremy Renner all visited Josh Lord’s tattoo studio. Mark Ruffalo was there too, but he didn’t get a tattoo.
That was the first time Josh met Chris in person. He also shared that the group gave him a special Avengers-themed tattoo as a thank-you.
Josh remembers,
“Out of all the Avengers, Chris was the most focused. His tattoo lines were the cleanest. They all did great, but his hand was the steadiest.”
Chris Evans may be known as a superhero, but clearly, he’s full of surprises in real life too — whether it’s magic tricks or perfect tattoo work!
