Did You Know? Chum Darang Left a Big Project for Bigg Boss 18!
Chum Darang has gained a lot of fame and success after her journey in Bigg Boss 18. The actress, known for her roles in Gangubai Kathiawadi and Badhaai Do, was also offered a major role in a hit web series before joining the reality show. Not many people know this, but Chum was supposed to be in Manoj Bajpayee’s web series, The Family Man Season 3.
Why Did Chum Darang Back Out of The Family Man 3?
Recently, on a podcast called Small Talk Yoko, Chum Darang revealed that she had to back out of The Family Man 3 because she chose to participate in Bigg Boss 18 instead. She said:
“Yes, I was in Family Man 3, but I left it for Bigg Boss. I honestly thought I wouldn’t last long inside the Bigg Boss house. I knew it would be tough, and the journey wouldn’t be easy.”
She also shared that she takes time to open up to people, and this is exactly what happened to her inside Bigg Boss 18. Initially, she thought she could manage both projects, but it didn’t work out. However, Chum remains hopeful about getting new opportunities in the future.
Chum Darang’s Journey in Bigg Boss 18
Talking about her experience on Bigg Boss 18, Chum admitted that at first, she thought she would only survive three weeks. But after crossing that mark, she believed she could stay for a month. Eventually, she made it to the finale!
For those who don’t know, Manoj Bajpayee’s hit web show, The Family Man, first premiered on September 20, 2019. However, the release date for Season 3 is still unknown.
Chum Darang’s Close Bonds in Bigg Boss 18
During her time in Bigg Boss 18, Chum formed a strong bond with Karan Veer Mehra. She also shared a good friendship with Shrutika Arjun and Shilpa Shirodkar. Thanks to her real and genuine personality, Chum made it to the top 5 finalists of Bigg Boss 18!
