CID Poll Result: Did Parth Samthaan impress as ACP Ayushman? Here’s what fans said
CID has been making headlines lately, especially with its second season keeping viewers hooked. The story and creative changes in the show have kept fans interested. Recently, actor Parth Samthaan joined the cast as the new ACP, which led to a lot of discussion online.
Parth took on the role of ACP Ayushman, stepping into the shoes of the iconic character ACP Pradyuman. His entry received mixed responses from the audience. To understand viewers’ opinions, Pinkvilla held a poll on May 9, asking fans if they liked Parth in the role.

According to the poll results, 60.33% of people said they were not impressed with Parth as the new ACP. On the other hand, 39.67% said they liked him in the role of ACP Ayushman.
For those who may not know, Parth Samthaan joined CID last month after the character of ACP Pradyuman was shown to have died in the show. This also meant the departure of veteran actor Shivaji Satam, who played the beloved ACP for over 20 years. His exit left many fans emotional.
When Parth came on board, the reactions were mixed. Some viewers were excited to see him return to TV after five years. His fans missed seeing him on screen and were happy to have him back. But not everyone was pleased with him as the new ACP.
Although many believed Parth was replacing Shivaji Satam permanently, he later cleared the air. He told Pinkvilla in an exclusive chat that his role was originally just a short guest appearance. He said, “I was on board for a few episodes only, a guest appearance, but later got extended for a couple of months.”
Parth’s time on the show will soon come to an end. The new season of CID began on December 21, 2024, and airs every Saturday and Sunday at 10 PM on Sony TV.
