CID Premiere Date Announced: When and Where to Watch Shivaji Satam, Dayanand Shetty, and Aditya Srivastava’s Show
Good news for CID fans! The iconic crime thriller, starring Shivaji Satam (ACP Pradyuman), Dayanand Shetty (Daya), and Aditya Srivastava (Abhijeet), is making a grand comeback. CID is all set to return with its second season on December 21, 2024.
Sony TV recently released a promo on their social media, revealing the premiere date and time. Fans were thrilled and shocked by the intense teaser, which shows Daya being hit by a bullet. But in a dramatic twist, Dayanand Shetty’s character makes a heroic return in his trademark style, breaking a door and delivering the powerful dialogue:
“Dushman bhi mujhe mita nahi paaye, main wapas aagaya, apne liye ladne aur jo bhool gaya hai, usse yaad dilane ke liye – ‘Daya is back!’”
The new season of CID will air every Saturday and Sunday at 10 PM on Sony TV starting December 21.

Dayanand Shetty shared his excitement about returning to TV with this legendary show. Speaking about his character, Daya, he said:
“Some characters leave a lasting impression, and Daya is one of them. I’m overwhelmed by the love and admiration people still have for this character. The memes, jokes, and references are proof of how much Daya has influenced popular culture.”
He also promised fans that this season will be just as thrilling:

For those unaware, CID went off-air on October 27, 2018, after a successful 20-year run, making it one of India’s longest-running TV shows. Pinkvilla previously reported that shooting for the new season began in Mumbai in November 2024.
