Is Parth Samthaan Replacing ACP Pradyuman in CID? Here’s the Truth

The popular crime show CID, which started in the ’90s, is once again making headlines. Fans were surprised when Shivaji Satam, who played the iconic ACP Pradyuman, confirmed that he is taking a break from the show. Since then, there’s been a lot of buzz about Parth Samthaan joining the series.
Is Parth Samthaan Replacing ACP Pradyuman?
At first, people thought Parth would take over the role of ACP Pradyuman. But now, it’s confirmed that Parth is not replacing Shivaji Satam. Instead, he will enter the show as a new character named ACP Anshuman.
According to Saas Bahu Aur Betiyan, Parth has already started filming. Some behind-the-scenes pictures of him with the CID team are doing rounds online.
Parth on Joining CID
Parth shared his excitement, saying he grew up watching CID. He also said he feels a lot of responsibility with this new role as a young ACP.
Talking about the story, Parth revealed that his character might face some resistance from team members like Daya (played by Dayanand Shetty) and Abhijeet (played by Aditya Srivastava), who may not immediately accept his authority. Viewers can expect some drama and clashes within the CID team in upcoming episodes.
Shivaji Satam Opens Up
While speaking to Bombay Times, Shivaji Satam said he is taking things positively and is okay with his character’s exit.
“I’ve learned to take everything in my stride. If my track is over, I’m okay with it,” he shared.
As per reports, ACP Pradyuman’s story will end with a bomb blast in the upcoming episodes.
Parth’s Return to TV
This show marks Parth Samthaan’s return to television after a long break. He became a popular face after his role in Kaisi Yeh Yaariaan, and was last seen as Anurag Basu in Kasautii Zindagii Kay.
CID’s Current Cast
The new season of CID began on December 21, 2024. The show stars Shivaji Satam, Dayanand Shetty, Aditya Srivastava, Sparsh Khanchandani, Hrishikesh Pandey, and more in key roles.
Fans are eager to see how the show changes with Parth’s entry and ACP Pradyuman’s exit.
