Dalljiet Kaur, who is currently going through a tough legal battle with her estranged husband Nikhil Patel, recently got emotional after making a significant sacrifice for him. Dalljiet and Nikhil’s marriage seemed like a fairytale at first, with Dalljiet often expressing her love for him. However, things took a difficult turn.
According to a recent report by Times Now, Dalljiet’s mother had given her a special saree as part of her trousseau before she moved to Kenya to be with Nikhil. But Nikhil wanted to use this saree to make a sofa cover. To fulfill his wish, Dalljiet sacrificed the saree, which held great sentimental value to her. She was deeply emotional as she cut the saree into pieces to create the cover, believing the sofa would symbolize their love.
Currently, Dalljiet is waiting for many of her valuable belongings to be returned from Nikhil’s home in Kenya. She had to go to court after Nikhil threatened to give away her belongings to charity. He eventually moved her items into a storage room.
During their ongoing legal battle, Dalljiet requested that the sofa, made with her saree, be returned to her. However, Nikhil tore the cover and placed the pieces in storage. He even replaced the original cover with a new yellow one, and posted pictures of the sofa online, which upset Dalljiet. A source mentioned that it’s embarrassing how Nikhil seems to be flaunting his actions, which were hurtful to Dalljiet, as the saree held deep emotional value.
On August 22, 2024, Dalljiet shared an update on the court hearing in Kenya. In her post, she expressed her frustration, noting that Nikhil and his lawyers are trying to claim that their marriage never happened.
